Kausalya Nandakumar began their work experience in 2006 as a Brand Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra. Over the years, they held various roles within the company, including Corporate Sales Manager and Regional Corporate Sales Manager, where they achieved significant sales growth and improved customer satisfaction. In 2011, they became the Senior Manager in Market Research & Brand XUV500, responsible for brand development and strategy. In 2012, they moved into the Strategy Management Group as a Senior Manager, focusing on strategic planning and business development projects. In 2014, they became a Deputy General Manager before leaving the company in 2015 to join SmartShift by Mahindra as the Chief Executive Officer. At SmartShift, they led a startup in the Indian logistics space and managed a team while overseeing operations. In 2018, they returned to Mahindra Group as the General Manager, and then held various positions such as Head Strategy Marketing Operational Excellence and Special Projects FaaS, Head Business Transformation, and Head - Women Empowerment. Most recently, in 2023, they took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited.
Kausalya Nandakumar completed their Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation at VESIT from 1998 to 2002. Kausalya then pursued an MBA in Marketing at SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they received a Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Management (MIQ) from Mahindra Institute of Quality in 2005.
