Gina DeGenova is an experienced legal professional with a significant background in public sector law and litigation. Currently serving as the Mahoning County Prosecutor since July 2005, Gina DeGenova has held various roles, including Chief Assistant and Public Information Officer, where supervision of attorneys and administrative staff took place alongside policy creation and case assignments. Previously, as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Gina DeGenova advocated in complex public sector law matters and prosecuted felony cases. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney at Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., focusing on employment law, labor law, and insurance defense, managing litigation phases, and providing client counsel on various legal issues. Gina DeGenova holds a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Youngstown State University and a high school diploma from Niles McKinley High School.
