Matthew Lawrence, Ed.D., serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Mahopac Central School District since December 2023, where support is provided for the vision of the Superintendent and Board of Education regarding Curriculum and Instruction. Previously, Matthew held the position of Principal at Mahopac High School from July 2017 to December 2023 and was Principal at Greenwood Lake Middle School from January 2012 to July 2017, contributing to a positive educational environment in the district. Matthew's administrative experience includes roles as Assistant Principal at Roy C. Ketcham High School and Beacon High School, as well as over five years as a Mathematics Teacher at Essex County Vocational Schools. Matthew is also a veteran of the US Army, having served in the 10th Mountain Division and 42 Infantry Division, earning two US Army Achievement Medals. Academically, Matthew holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Manhattanville University, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Seton Hall University.
