Mercedes Almendro

Mercedes Almendro has over two decades of experience in human resources and organizational management, currently serving as the Chief People, Culture and Organization Officer at Mahou San Miguel since December 2002. In this role, Mercedes oversees the People strategy for both the Spanish and International Business Units, leading the definition and implementation of people management processes across various corporate departments. Prior to this, Mercedes held positions such as People Director for Spain and International division and also worked at Instituto de Coaching Ejecutivo CORAOPS as an Executive Coach in training supervisor. Additional experience includes roles as HR Development Manager at Font Vella S.A. (Grupo Danone) and Regional Human Resources Manager at Marks & Spencer. Mercedes holds advanced management and executive coaching qualifications from IESE Business School and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, along with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
