Michael Boland

Michael Boland's work experience includes roles as a Strategic Director/Senior Program Director at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine since May 2023, a Scientific Consultant at Mahzi Therapeutics starting from February 2023, and a Consultant at the Simons Foundation commencing in March 2022. Michael has also served as a Scientific Advisor for the STXBP1 Foundation since July 2019 and as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from November 2015 to April 2023. Prior to that, they were a Research Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute from 2012 to 2015 and an Esther B. O'Keefe Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution from 2008 to 2011, working in the laboratories of Jeanne Loring, PhD, and Kristin Baldwin, PhD, respectively.

Michael Boland has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Biotechnology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
