Aron Wegner

Aron is a Portfolio Manager based in New York City. He joined MAI in 2021 following the acquisition of Regal Wealth Management, where he was an Investment Associate.

Aron joined Regal after beginning his career with Nomura Securities International. He completed an internship with Nomura in the Consumer / Retail Group and then joined the firm full-time as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Acquisition and Leveraged Finance Group. During his tenure at Nomura, Aron developed a diverse skillset, including a comprehensive understanding of the leveraged debt capital markets landscape, leveraged buyout transactional experience, financial modeling, and cash flow for debt repayment modeling. Prior to leaving Nomura to join Regal, Aron was promoted to Associate.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Aron earned bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Sport Management. While an undergraduate, he was a Research Assistant for the University’s Center for Sport and Policy, where he performed economic modeling and analysis for various sport venue-based transactions. He also analyzed the Olympics’ effect on municipalities and their economies, as well as the feasibility of a Las Vegas-based NHL Franchise. During college, Aron also worked with Inner Circle Sports, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and Levy Restaurants @ Nationals Park.
