Mia Arderne

Mia Arderne is an accomplished author and journalist with extensive experience in writing and editorial roles. Currently, Mia serves as an author for NB-Uitgewers/Publishers and Penguin Random House South Africa, alongside positions as a script consultant for Both Worlds Pictures and a freelance columnist for Daily Maverick and GroundUp News. Previously, Mia contributed columns to Mail & Guardian, Vrye Weekblad, and Associated Media Publishing, and worked as a writer-reporter for New Frame. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in English with a focus on Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town, a course in Editing Methodology from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Philosophy from the University of Cape Town. Additionally, Mia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University, with studies in Philosophy, Drama, and Classical Civilization.
