Paul Chin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paul started their career in 1994 at CAE as a software developer and IT support, where they developed and supported a corporate intranet-based content management system. Paul then moved on to Competia in 2001, where they worked as a staff writer and IT support, researching and writing articles for the company's online magazine. Paul also provided copy/speech writing and technical support for workshops and authored a book on intranet development and management.

In 2003, Paul embarked on a freelance career. Paul worked as a technology writer for Jupitermedia and WebMediaBrands, writing monthly features, op-eds, and reviews for Intranet Journal and proposing article ideas to the Managing Editor. Paul also engaged with readers and answered their questions. During this time, they also worked as a copywriter, editor, and content strategist for various businesses, helping them enhance their brand profile through clear and engaging marketing copy.

In 2023, Paul joined Mailbird as a content writer, where they write creative and informative content for various channels, collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies, and ensures the integrity and consistency of content standards and brand voice. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated their expertise in writing compelling and well-researched articles for various publications, including The Globe & Mail and NEWH Magazine.

Paul Chin completed their education in computer science and technology at Dawson College from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a DEC degree.
