Kate Dickerson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in science communication and environmental policy. Currently serving as the Executive Director at the Maine Discovery Museum and also as the Executive Producer for the Maine Science Podcast, Kate has dedicated much of their career to promoting the science community in Maine. Previous roles include Founder and Director of the Maine Science Festival, showcasing diverse scientific engagement through workshops and exhibits. With a background in research focusing on energy and environmental analysis at the University of Maine and the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, Kate has contributed significantly to state energy policy discussions. Earlier experiences include positions at PPRC, ESS Group, and The Louis Berger Group, where Kate focused on environmental compliance and pollution prevention. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management & Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
