Jeffrey J. Porter

Jeffrey J. Porter serves as the Superintendent of Schools for MSAD 51-Greely since July 2014, overseeing a school district with 2,200 students and 435 staff members, noted for its academic excellence in Maine. Previously, Porter held the position of University Adjunct Faculty at the University of Southern Maine from July 2022 to June 2023, where courses in supervision and evaluation were taught at the graduate level. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Biddeford Schools from January 2007 to June 2014, providing K-12 academic leadership for a district of 2,700 students and 400 staff members, and as Principal of Harrison C. Lyseth Elementary School in Portland Public Schools from August 2001 to December 2006, managing a school with 600 students and 75 staff. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Maine, and a post-graduate Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Southern Maine.
