Ian Gans is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this role, Ian Gans served as a Graduate Research Assistant at MDI Biological Laboratory from August 2015 to December 2021 and worked as an Assistant Law Librarian at Preti Flaherty from April 2008 to August 2015. Additionally, Ian Gans gained experience as an intern at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute between September 2012 and May 2013. Academically, Ian Gans holds a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Maine, along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Arizona State University. Educational background is anchored by a high school diploma from South Portland High School.
