Seynt Jiro Sahagun is currently a Medical Student at the University of New England since July 2022 and serves as a Research Fellow at the MaineHealth Institute for Research since October 2022. Previously, Sahagun held the position of Postbacc IRTA Fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from June 2020 to August 2022. Sahagun's experience at Colby College from September 2017 to June 2020 includes roles as a Senior Admissions Fellow, Student Ambassador, and two research assistant positions assisting Dr. Erin Sheets and Dr. Allecia Reid. Additionally, Sahagun worked as an EMT with Colby Emergency Response and completed internships at MaineGeneral Health, where responsibilities included designing clinical protocols and analyzing data on healthcare issues affecting specific populations. Sahagun has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Neuroscience Concentration from Colby College and is pursuing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the University of New England.
