Omar Hasan has a diverse range of work experience in healthcare leadership and patient care. OMAR started their career as a Primary Care Physician in a private practice from 2000 to 2004. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Hospitalist Physician at MidState Medical Center. Hasan then held various roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital, including Medical Director of Continuum of Care Strategies and Associate Physician (Hospitalist) from 2007 to 2012. OMAR also served as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School during the same time. Hasan's expertise in improving health outcomes led him to the American Medical Association, where they held the position of Vice President from 2012 to 2016. OMAR currently works at MaineHealth as the Chief Quality Officer, overseeing clinical quality, patient safety, and risk management across the health system.

Omar Hasan earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Epidemiology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2011. OMAR also obtained a Board Certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine over the course of the years 2000 to 2020. Hasan attended Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2011-2012, studying Managing Health Care Delivery. Additionally, they completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Internal Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2007 to 2009. Hasan obtained a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Care Management and Policy from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2007-2008. In their earlier years, Hasan completed an Internal Medicine Residency Training at The University of Connecticut School of Medicine from 1997 to 2000. Finally, they earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from King Edward Medical University between 1990 and 1995.
