Jenn Gondek is the current Director of HR at The Portland Press Herald. Jenn has over 5 years of experience in Human Resources. Jenn started their career as a Human Resources Specialist at HMS Host. There, Jenn was responsible for recruitment for multiple locations in Maine and Massachusetts, onboarding and training, employee relations, and personnel file creation and maintenance. Jenn then became a Human Resources Recruiter at Community Partners, Inc./Spurwink Services. In this role, Jenn increased recruitment and hiring, wrote and posted job openings on major job hosting sites, reviewed resumes to find qualified candidates, conducted background checks and obtained references for applicants, set up bi-monthly orientation classes, worked closely with program managers to meet their hiring needs, attended job fairs and local community events to increase recruitment and community awareness, handled compensation for new hires, internal promotions/demotions, and acted as the point person for compensation questions, created and helped maintain personnel files, and assisted the HR Manager as needed. Jenn then took on the role of Group Director of Human Resources at MaineToday Media where they were responsible for benefits and leave administration, employee engagement, and recruitment/hiring. Jenn is also a member of the Employee Engagement Committee and Safety Committee at MaineToday Media as well as the Portland Press Herald Bruce Roberts Toy Fund.

Jenn Gondek has an Associate of Science in Radio Broadcasting from AI New England. Jenn has been working in the field of radio broadcasting for over 20 years.
