Welcome to the Mainland Nova Scotia Building Trades. Our goal is to enhance the opportunities for our thirteen member unions and the professional tradespersons they represent. The depth of experience represented by our membership is truly impressive and ever increasing. The mandate for the Building Trades is to supply a skilled and productive workforce for our 300 contractors and owners. The unionized Building Trades includes over 12,000 professional tradespeople, including 3,000 apprentices in Nova Scotia – a significant portion of our working middle class.
