James Marcinek

James Marcinek has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. James started their career in 1999 as a Production Support at Cendant Mortgage and later worked as a Sr Production Support at Eckerd. In 2003, they worked as a TWS Admin at BearingPoint. From 2004 to 2005, James worked as an Owner and Systems Engineer at JEMConsult.biz, specializing in Linux and Open Source solutions for small businesses.

In 2005, they joined CompServ, LLC as a Unix/Linux Engineer, where they provided delivery services of IBM System P (AIX), Linux, and VMware. During this role, they designed and deployed virtualization infrastructure and performed physical-to-virtual migrations.

From 2006 to 2008, James worked at Mainline Information Systems as a System Pre/Post-sales Engineer, where they performed pre/post-sales activities for AIX and Linux systems, delivering solution design and technical expertise to potential customers. Since 2012, James has held multiple roles at Mainline Information Systems. James started as a Pre-sales Engineer - Southeast, where they delivered technical expertise to key clients for business/sales growth and administered various solution activities. Later, they became a Team Lead/Systems Engineer, orchestrating technical support to customers, providing leadership and guidance to systems engineers and project management teams, and spearheading various projects.

Currently, James holds the position of Enterprise Architect Business Development Manager at Mainline Information Systems. In this role, they manage the business relationship between Red Hat and Mainline, supports sales teams, and designs services and solutions to meet customers' business and IT challenges, with the goal of increasing sales and services.

James Marcinek has an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Columbia Southern University. James also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Information Technology from the same university. Additionally, they attended Camden County College from 1998 to 1999, where they studied Computer Information Systems. James has obtained various certifications, including the Technical Sales Associate certification from Cohesity in October 2020, the VMware Certified Advanced Professional 4 - Data Center Virtualization Design certification from VMware in February 2011, and the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
