Aly K. has worked in various roles since 2019. In 2019, they were an Uber Beacon 2.0 Launch Intern, where they collaborated with other management teams to beta test and implement the Beacon program, a colour coding system designed to make passenger-driver interactions more efficient and safe, while rewarding the driver. Aly also liaised with management and operations teams during a multi-day device rollout, analyzing the installation process and working to apply full scale integration. Additionally, they trained 75+ Uber drivers on the use of the program, delivering advice and identifying issues with their early Beacon experience. In 2020, Aly was an Operations Intern at TransAtlantic Logistics LLC. In 2021, they worked as a Summer Analyst at Endeavor. Currently, Aly is a Product Consultant at MaintainX.

Aly K. attended Cairo American College from 2008 to 2014. In 2014, they enrolled in Appleby College and earned an Ontario Secondary School Scholar - Academic Distinction. In 2017, Aly K. began their studies at McGill University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom Minor in Marketing Strategy. Aly completed their studies at McGill University in 2021.
