Ryuta Kawaguchi

Ryuta Kawaguchi serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Technical Fellow at FREYR Battery since February 2020, previously holding the position of Chief Technology Officer. Prior experience includes leading the Dyson EV battery team and managing ePT strategy planning at Nissan Motor Corporation for electric powertrain technologies. Additional roles at Nissan encompassed overseeing the global battery business, engineering teams for EV battery development, and R&D strategy planning. Ryuta's career also features senior management at Automotive Energy Supply Corporation, focusing on battery systems and technical sales. Early roles at Toyota Industries involved technology research and compressor design for fuel cell vehicles. Ryuta earned a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's in Aeronautical Engineering from Nagoya University.
