Mike Ward has a diverse education history in the field of wine and spirits. Mike obtained their Certified Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas in January 2006. In May 2009, they achieved the Certified Wine Educator (CWE) certification from the Society of Wine Educators. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Specialist of Spirits certification from the same institution. Mike continued to expand their knowledge by earning the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in November 2012. Furthermore, they became a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist in August 2019 through the House of Lustau and the Regulatory Council of Jerez-Xeres - Sherry DO.
