Heather Fine, a Partner with In-House Counsel Recruiting, is a seasoned search consultant who specializes in placing attorneys within in-house legal departments throughout the country. Heather handles searches ranging from Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel positions to corporate counsel roles in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, higher education, not-for-profit, healthcare, consumer products, telecommunications, retail, technology, pharmaceuticals, professional services and financial services. Over the last several years, Heather has led and managed searches for public and private companies of all sizes (including several within the Fortune 500) and also partners with her colleagues in EMEA and APAC on searches at every level. In addition, she has authored articles related to the legal search field and also speaks regularly at conferences and on panels on related subjects. Heather is a passionate advocate for increasing diversity within the legal profession and is a member of MLA’s Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Leadership Council. Heather’s extensive recruiting experience identifying top talent at the executive level allows her to excel at matching her clients with the best candidate for their unique opportunity.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys running and Pilates and loves to travel whenever she has the chance. She is a strong advocate for at-risk children and families and is a board member of Legal Prep Charter Academy and Children’s Home & Aid in Chicago.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Heather worked for several years at the Children's Law Center in Washington, D.C., representing children and families involved in the foster care system. She also served as counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs' Special Investigation into Hurricane Katrina.

Heather began her legal career in a boutique firm in the D.C. metro area. Prior to entering law school, she worked on Capitol Hill for a United States Senator.
