Pamela Salling

Pamela Salling, a Managing Director on our In-House Counsel Recruiting team, is focused on identifying highly qualified attorneys and compliance professionals for a broad range of global, national and regional companies. Working with corporate clients, Pamela values a consultative approach and takes the time to understand each clients’ unique needs, cultures and dynamics.

Pamela focuses on recruitment and retention for in-house legal departments across the U.S. and internationally. Pamela has placed General Counsel and senior lawyers at both public and private companies across a variety of sectors, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Carfax, Hamilton Beach Brands, Vifor Pharma, Rite Aid Corporation, Lactalis, VSE Corporation, Elementis Global, Conrail Consolidated Rail Corporation, Columbia Bank, and Stanley Black & Decker. Pamela is committed to promoting diversity in hiring practices, with nearly 60% of her placements to date identifying as diverse.

Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Pamela practiced law for nearly 10 years, primarily representing healthcare providers. Pamela also clerked for Chief Judge Russell of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. While working as a lawyer, she also served as a professor, developing and teaching the curriculum for multiple negotiation and mediation courses at the Art Institute of Austin and St. Edward’s University’s Graduate School of Management and Business.

After practice, Pamela transitioned into a global legal consulting role. She moved to Switzerland to expand her employer’s service offerings into EMEA, creating custom-designed solutions specific to each client’s particular needs and culture. Pamela immersed herself in each organization, communicating with candor and sensitivity, to craft guidance uniquely formulated for the needs of the enterprise and legal function. She worked with multi-national companies to create and manage transformative, cost-efficient and defensible solutions for litigations, regulatory investigations, and information governance. Pamela enjoys recruiting because it allows her to build on her passion for supporting in-house legal teams.
