Rick Edwards

Rick Edwards has extensive experience in communications and storytelling, currently serving as an Impact Writer, Lead Storyteller, and Copywriter at Make-A-Wish Australia since July 2019. Prior to this, Rick worked as a Communication and Engagement Advisor for the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation on a contract basis, where responsibilities included handling media queries and creating communication plans. Rick's career at Leader Community Newspapers spanned nearly two decades, culminating in a role as Chief of Staff, where strategic development and oversight of editorial content were key responsibilities. Earlier positions included serving as Editor, beginning a career in journalism that started in September 1999. Rick Edwards holds a diploma from Strathmore Secondary College, completed between 1982 and 1987.
