Kristen Mommertz

Kristen Mommertz is an experienced Accessibility Learning Specialist at Fable, overseeing the creation of custom accessibility training for individuals with disabilities since June 2022. Previously, Kristen served as a Contractor for Fable and worked as a Fundraising Operator and Social Media Manager with Operation Catnip Peterborough, where efforts included organizing fundraisers and managing social media channels. Kristen's background also includes roles as an Accessible Media Lab Technician and Professor of Journalism at Mohawk College, where significant contributions were made to accessibility research and curriculum development. Prior experience includes providing lecture captioning and note-taking services with ELH Accessibility and coordinating community wellness events at Trent University with Active Minds, Inc. Kristen holds a Post-Graduate certificate in Accessible Media Production and a UX/UI Design certificate from Mohawk College, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University.
