Emma McMeekin has extensive work experience in media planning and advertising. Emma started their career in 2010 with a role in the retail and hospitality industry. Emma then worked as a Student Brand Ambassador for The Economist, where they created social media marketing campaigns and conducted on-campus marketing. In 2014, they had a summer internship at Aon Benfield in EMEA Broking. In 2016, they joined Essence as a Biddable Media Executive and later transitioned to the role of Senior Digital Media Planning Executive. During their time at Essence, they planned and managed brand and direct response campaigns across various platforms, including Google Cloud, G Suite, and Google For Education. In 2019, they were promoted to the position of Media Planning Manager before eventually becoming the Media Planning Associate Director. In 2022, they joined MAC Cosmetics as their Media and Advertising Lead.
Emma McMeekin completed their high school education at Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria from 2004 to 2011. Emma then attended The University of Birmingham from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics with Spanish.
