Lee Wilkins

Lee Wilkins has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2014, they served as a Co-Executive Director at Little Dada. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty and Senior Technical Lead at Ryerson University, where they designed equipment and programming for the Ryerson Library Collaboratory. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Faculty at OCAD University from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, they worked as a Community Outreach Manager at Hackaday. From 2020 to 2021, they held the position of Senior Manager, R&D at Sheertex. In 2021, they joined Milieux Institute as a Strategic Initiatives: Critical Making Lead, Open Source Hardware Association as an Open Hardware Summit Chair, and Make: as a Writer. They also worked as a Community & Communications Strategist at an informal organization. In 2022, they became an Artist in Residence at Concordia University.

Lee Wilkins has a strong educational background in the field of communication and media studies. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Toronto between the years 2018 and 2022. Prior to that, Wilkins completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Digital Futures at OCAD University from 2012 to 2014. They also hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Computation Arts from Concordia University, which they earned from 2009 to 2011. Wilkins' education history also includes a stint at Dawson College, where they studied Visual Arts from 2006 to 2008.
