Megan Ellis

Megan Ellis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of journalism. Megan started their career at Activate Online as the Editor-in-Chief. Megan then worked at Primedia Online as a Junior Editor and later as an Editorial Intern at iafrica.com. Megan continued to excel in their career and took up roles such as Technology Editor, Travel Editor, and Senior Editor at iafrica.com, where they oversaw content strategy and quality. Megan also worked as a Freelance Writer at Compare Guru and Primedia Broadcasting. Megan's experience extended to Burn Media Group (PTY) Ltd, where they served as a Freelance Contributor and later as the Memeburn & Gearburn Editor-in-Chief. Megan continued their freelance work as a Freelance Journalist, specializing in Tech, Gaming, Travel, and Lifestyle topics for various outlets. Megan also had a temporary freelance contract with MUO, where they worked as a Senior Writer and then as a Section Editor. Megan then pursued a Bachelor of Journalism at Rhodes University from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, they attended Rhodes University again, where they obtained an Honours in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, specializing in Corpus Linguistics, Sign Language Linguistics, and Acquisition of Grammar.
