Anders Avelin has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy and engineering industry. Anders started their career in 2000 as a Project Manager/Application Engineer at Powerit Generation AB. In 2003, they worked as a Development Engineer at Millsys AB. Later, from 2006 to 2007, they served as a consultant in energy and environmental issues at EnviLoop AB. Anders then took on the role of Power Plant Manager at SALA-HEBY ENERGI AB from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they joined Mälardalen University as the Head of Department. Anders worked as a Project Manager Digitalization at ABB from 2018 to 2019. More recently, they served as the Director of Process Utilities at Northvolt from 2019 to 2020.
Anders Avelin earned their Master's degree in energy engineering from Mälardalen University from 1996 to 2000. Anders then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Miljö och energiteknik (Environmental and Energy Technology) from Mälardalen University from 2004 to 2015.
