Jef Lucero

Jef Lucero is an experienced play-by-play and public address announcer, currently serving as the play-by-play voice for football and men's and women's basketball at Willamette University since August 2022, and as the public address voice for several other sports at various institutions. With over 17 years at the Washington State Department of Transportation, Jef has developed expertise in transportation planning and communications, creating community engagement plans and lending a public voice to the Public Transportation Division. Jef's extensive announcing background also includes roles with the Seattle Storm, University of Washington, The Evergreen State College, Seattle University, Saint Martin's University, University of Puget Sound, and several soccer franchises. Jef earned a degree from The Evergreen State College between 1992 and 1999.
