Jim Ostler

Jim Ostler currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Management at Willamette University since July 2021. Previously, Jim held positions at several prestigious institutions, including The Wharton School as a Visiting Professor of Strategy and Georgetown University McDonough School of Business as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Strategy. Jim's tenure at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Strategy spanned five years. In the early stages of a career, Jim worked as a Senior Supply Chain Analyst and Service Programs Manager at Avery Dennison and as a Solutions Architect Consultant at VIVECON. Educational credentials include a PhD in Strategic Management and Decision Making from UCLA Anderson School of Management, an MBA in New Product Development and Quantitative Methods, an MS in Manufacturing and Technology, and a BS in Chemical Engineering, all obtained from Brigham Young University.
