Josephine Vassallo Parnis possesses extensive experience in communications, project coordination, and public relations across various prestigious roles. As Head of EU Affairs and Project Coordinator for Start-ups & Micro Enterprises at Malta Enterprise since February 2016, Josephine has played a crucial role in driving initiatives related to entrepreneurship. Prior to this, as Founder of LeadingTalks Malta from April 2010 to February 2024, Josephine successfully facilitated inspirational talks by hosting foreign speakers to share insights on contemporary issues. Josephine served as Film Commission Coordinator at the Malta Film Commission from March 2013 to February 2016, where responsibilities included marketing Malta as a film location and managing public relations. Additionally, Josephine held positions within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta, first as Personal Secretary and later as Communications & Press Secretary, and worked as Commercial Counsellor at the Malta Embassy in Paris from August 2002 to August 2006.

Malta Enterprise is the country’s economic development agency, tasked with attracting new foreign direct investment as well as facilitating the growth of existing operations. In operation under various guises since the 1950s, which is almost since the beginning of Malta’s industrial development, the Corporation contains within it a great deal of accumulated experience in the field. Furthermore, it acts as an adviser to government on economic policy due to its close and constant interaction with the main economic players in the country. Malta Enterprise is also the national contact point for the Enterprise Europe Network through which companies based in Malta can develop links with counterparts in over 60 other countries. Within the organization, one may find a wide variety of skills and backgrounds. This facilitates interaction with investors from all sectors, ensuring that specific requirements are understood and met. The long term presence of an investor in the country is a priority for Malta Enterprise.
