Marcelo Holtz

Marcelo Holtz began their work experience as a Technical Specialist at Huawei Technologies in 2008, where they played a crucial role in a major project that involved migrating over 18 million customers and generating significant revenue. From 2010 to 2012, Marcelo worked as a Research Engineer at the Brazilian Space Agency, where they were involved in the development of innovative algorithms for security log analysis. In 2009, Marcelo founded IPe Engenharia de Redes, a network security startup, and served as the CTO and Co-founder until 2015. During this time, they led the products division and managed the development and incident response team. Marcelo's most recent role is at Malwarebytes, where they have held various positions since 2015, including Director of Sales and Regional Sales Manager for Latin America & the Caribbean. In these roles, they achieved record revenue, customer retention, and large-scale deals while providing strategic and complex sales guidance.

Marcelo Holtz holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering degree from Universidade de Brasília, specializing in Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Information Security, which was obtained between 2010 and 2012. Marcelo also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Network Engineering degree from the same university, focusing on Network Management, from 2004 to 2009. Additionally, Marcelo has obtained certifications from Coursera, including "Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects" and "Start Your API Testing Journey With Postman Tool" in the year 2023, and the "Sandler Selling System" certification from Sandler Training in 2022.
