Ruben MacIel

Ruben Maciel is an experienced culinary and restaurant operations professional, currently serving as General Manager at Mamma Maria Restaurant since August 2020, where oversight encompasses both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Prior to this role, Ruben held the position of General Manager at Stella Restaurant & Bar from October 2012 to August 2020, successfully reducing operational costs by 10% and food costs from 29% to 26% through meticulous management practices. Ruben’s extensive background also includes significant experience as Executive Chef at Club Med from January 2005 to October 2012, where responsibilities included managing kitchen personnel and ensuring high culinary standards, as well as experience as Sous Chef across various international locations. Ruben began the culinary journey with a Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Administration from Instituto Culinario de Mexico and further specialized with a pastry degree from Lycée Hotelier de Gerardmer.
