David Steinmetz is an experienced aviation executive currently serving as Senior Vice President at Mammoth Freighters since August 2021. Prior to this role, David held several key positions at Delta Air Lines, including Director and Vice President of Operations at Delta Flight Products from August 2016 to August 2021. Earlier in their career, David served as Director of the ODA at Gulfstream Aerospace from June 2013 to August 2016, and as Vice President of Operations at Precision Conversions from July 2005 to May 2013. David also held the position of Director at TIMCO Aviation Services from 1994 to 2000, bringing extensive operational leadership and industry expertise to each role.

Mammoth Freighters
Mammoth Freighters LLC (Mammoth) was founded in December of 2020 to design, develop, convert, and support the development of passenger to freighter conversions. The launch type is the Boeing 777 (both the 200 LR and 300 ER variants). The Mammoth converted 777 is one of the most productive and economical 777 long range freighters in the world. Mammoth, a Boeing Licensee for the Boeing 777, is developing a global production and conversion site network which will include its Ft. Worth, Alliance Texas Facility as well as additional conversion capacity planned at three other sites around the world. Mammoth is backed by private investment funds managed by Fortress Investment Group LLC and its affiliates. Mammoth is based in Orlando, Florida with engineering offices in Escondido, California and Seattle, Washington.
