Shruti Patel

Shruti Patel has held a variety of roles in the compliance sector since 2010. Shruti began their career as a Volunteer Trainee Paralegal and Welfare Benefits Advisor at Community Links in 2010. In 2012, they became an Adjudicator at the Financial Ombudsman Service. In 2014, they moved to the Financial Conduct Authority as an Associate in the Authorisations Division. In 2016, they joined Premium Credit Ltd as a Compliance Manager and Compliance Monitoring Officer. In 2019, they moved to RateSetter as a Senior Compliance Manager and Compliance Manager. In 2020, they joined fire.com as a Compliance, Risk and Oversight Officer (CROO) and MLRO. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Head of Compliance at Mamo.

Shruti Patel's educational history includes a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in Law, which they obtained between 2008 and 2011. In 2014, they obtained a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. From 2013 to 2014, they obtained a Professional Banker Certificate from The Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. In 2017 and 2018, they obtained a Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association. In 2020, they obtained two Specialist Certificates from the International Compliance Association, one in Financial Crime Risk in Mobile Financial Services and one in Corporate Governance. Additionally, Shruti Patel has obtained several certifications, including a Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association in 2018, Training Skills for Experts from the Operations Director at the Financial Ombudsman Service in 2013, Commercial Awareness from BPP Law School in 2011, Full Member from Women in Ethics & Compliance Global, and Mentor from Sweet Mango Sisters.
