Sokrates Tolgos

Sokrates Tolgos is a seasoned professional in the marine industry, currently serving as Global Director Cruise at MAN Energy Solutions since August 2018, where the focus is on global sales strategy and decarbonization in the cruise newbuild market. Prior roles at MAN Diesel & Turbo SE included Head of Sales Cruise & Ferry, leading worldwide sales of marine propulsion engines, and Head of Sales Cruise Ships & LNG Carriers, pioneering the LNG carrier business. Sokrates began career as a Marine Sales Engineer at Sulzer Group, specializing in controllable pitch propeller systems, and held project management roles. Earlier experience includes a role as an R&D Engineer for BMW Rolls-Royce AeroEngines, contributing to leading aircraft engine projects. Sokrates holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and an Abitur with a focus on Mathematics and English from Gymnasium Plochingen.
