Susan Kappel

Susan Kappel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Susan started their career as a Psychiatric Technician at Chestnut Lodge, where they provided psychiatric nursing care to adolescent patients and participated in treatment planning. Susan then worked at Dental Benefit Providers (now United Healthcare) in various roles, including Account Administrator, Manager of Provider Relations, and Director of Provider Relations. In these positions, they managed provider recruitment and negotiations, resolved grievances, and ensured network capacity. Susan also worked at Managed Care Options as a Consultant, providing consulting services to healthcare providers and managed care organizations. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President at Managed Care Advisors, where they oversee the consulting practice and provides direct consulting services specializing in managed care program operations, worker's compensation, and strategic planning.

Susan Kappel has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Health Care Policy from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Susan also holds a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from the Medical College of Virginia-VCU.
