Matthew Daigler

Matthew Daigler has a strong background in legal and regulatory matters, particularly in the financial industry. Matthew is currently the Vice President and Senior Counsel at the Managed Funds Association, where they analyze the impact of legislative and regulatory developments on MFA members and engages directly with policymakers and regulators. Prior to this role, they served as Vice President/Senior Counsel, Innovation Policy and Regulation, at the American Bankers Association, advocating for policies that promote innovation in banking. Matthew also has experience as Senior Counsel to Chairman Heath Tarbert at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and as an Associate at Allen & Overy, where they advised financial institutions on compliance-related issues. Earlier in their career, Daigler worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and Foley Hoag LLP, gaining experience in various areas of financial and securities law.

Matthew Daigler has an extensive education history. Matthew obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from the University of Toronto from 1987 to 1990. Matthew then pursued further education at Villanova University, where they earned a Master's degree in Philosophy from 1992 to 1994. Matthew continued their academic journey by attending Boston College, where they completed their Ph.D. in Philosophy between 1994 and 1998. Finally, Matthew Daigler attended the University of Chicago Law School, where they obtained their J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree in Law from 1999 to 2002.
