Lisa McMahon, SHRM- SCP, CCWS, CTA

Lisa McMahon has over 25 years of work experience, with a varied background in human resources, events management, and office administration. Their most recent role is as Director of People and Culture at MRD Apartments, where they have been since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked for five years as the Director of Human Resources and Events at The Potent Potables Project. Their previous experience includes roles as an Events and Meetings Manager at Cooley Law School Stadium, an Assistant to Executive Directors at the Michigan Library Association, and a Human Resources and Event Manager at HopCat. Lisa also has experience as a Daycare Owner at Lisa's Learning Circle, an Insurance and Scheduling Coordinator at Orthodontic Specialists, and a Human Resources and Office Manager at DUBLIN SQUARE IRISH PUB & GRILL. Lisa began their career as a District Manager at The Body Shop. Lisa holds several certifications, including SHRM-SCP, CCWS, and CTA.

Lisa McMahon attended Michigan State University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Employment Relations. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in Organizational Inclusion and Diversity from Michigan State University. Lisa also holds several additional certifications, including SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM, a Freedom From Smoking Facilitator certification from the American Lung Association in Michigan, a Certified Yoga 4 Cancer Teacher certification from Yoga 4 Cancer (y4c), and a Registered Yoga Teacher certification from Yoga Alliance. Additionally, they have certifications as a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (obtained from Global Healthcare Resources) and a Certified Tourism Ambassador (obtained from the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau).
