Carly Shaffer

Carly Shaffer is a Senior Analyst at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, with prior experience as an Analyst at the same firm. Carly's work at the Newcomb Institute involved compiling and visualizing data on sexual harassment and assault related to the Me Too movement, as well as researching key policy initiatives of Louisiana politicians. Carly has held various internships, including roles at United States of Care, where involvement in congressional meetings on the Build Back Better Act took place, and at Sara Gideon for Maine, focusing on voter engagement. Other internship experiences include communications and policy work at Medicaid Health Plans of America and Federal Relations at Families USA, alongside legislative support for Congresswoman Susan Davis. Carly holds a BA in Political Science and Communication with a minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies from Tulane University.
