Lindsay Loftus is the Curriculum Manager for Vocational Employer Response at Manchester Adult Education. Lindsay has been in this role since April 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Practitioner at The Trafford College Group from September 2014 to April 2020. In this role, they led 5 curriculum teams across the Group in all aspects of Learning and Development and Quality Improvement/ Curriculum design. Her responsibilities included leading on learning and development strategies, designing, delivering and evaluating staff training, carrying out and reviewing weekly developmental observations and lesson walk throughs, and influencing teams to drive improvement. Lindsay also led on steering groups to developing, revise and implement quality standards on the trail of new schemes of work as part of curriculum planning in preparation for the new Education Inspection Framework- EIF. Under their leadership, the departmental figures on retention increased to 94% and achievement increased to 96%. Lindsay also improved departmental attendance from 89% in 2018 to 92% in 2019. The departmental courses achieved above national benchmark between 8.3%-15.5%.
