Joseph Nelson

Joseph Nelson has a diverse work experience in journalism and education. Joseph began their career as a writer and social media content creator for Newcastle United Women's Football Club, where they interviewed players, wrote articles, and managed social media platforms. Joseph also worked as a freelance journalist for Manchester United, BBC Sport, Reach plc, and SPORF, covering sports events, producing engaging content, and delivering live commentary. In addition, Joseph has experience in the education sector, working as an English tutor and teacher, and as a site lead for Active Future, where they organized activities for children. Joseph has also contributed to the digital output of Quays News during their MA Journalism course at the University of Salford. Joseph's work experience showcases their strong writing abilities, research skills, and expertise in sports journalism.

Joseph Nelson has a diverse education history. Joseph began in 2016 at Whitley Bay High School, where they studied A-Level subjects including English, History, and Mathematics. Following this, they attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2016 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and History. In 2019, Joseph enrolled at Newcastle University, where they completed a program in Secondary Education and Teaching, resulting in an EPGCE qualification. In 2021 and 2022, they pursued further studies at The University of Salford, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Journalism as well as a NCTJ Diploma in the same field.
