Stuart Clarke has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of sports and education. Stuart is currently the Director of Sport at Bury Grammar School, a position they started in 2021. Previously, Stuart worked at Lancaster Royal Grammar School as the Director of Sport from 2015 to 2021 and as the Head of Physical Education & Games in 2015. Stuart also gained experience as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire in 2019.

Before that, Stuart held positions such as Lead Coach at Manchester United from 2004 onwards, Assistant Director of Sport at ArnoldKEQMS Independent School from 2011 to 2014, and Head of Boys Physical Education at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School from 2008 to 2011. In 2016 to 2017, Stuart Clarke attended the University of Cumbria where they pursued a National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) with a focus on Educational Leadership. Finally, in 2017 to 2018, they attended the University of Central Lancashire where they earned a Master of Arts degree (MSc) in Physical Education & School Sport.
