Larry Schwartz

COO at Mangata Networks

Larry is the Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors at Mangata Networks, bringing with him three decades of experience in large-scale telecommunications networks. At Mangata, Larry manages the company’s satellite/mission operations, ground operations, resource management, service delivery, R&D/product development, and data center integration/assembly.

Most recently, Larry was a Managing Director of Kitfield Group, a developer/investor in large-scale telecom projects and media companies. Previously, Larry was Founder & CEO of Seaborn Networks, a leading developer-owner-operator of submarine fiber optic cable systems. He was also Chairman, CEO & Founder of Seabras Group. Larry led these businesses for 10 years from idea creation through full project funding and successful operations.

He also had been CEO and a co-owner of the parent company of Global Marine Systems, the owner-operator of a large fleet of cable ships and a leading installer of subsea fiber optic cable systems. Before that, he was a Senior Vice President of Genuity, which was a Fortune 1000 telecommunications company with a global network infrastructure.

Larry was appointed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross to the Department of Commerce’s U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, where he served as Chairman of the U.S. Technology, Telecommunications & Space Committee.

Larry began his career with the firm of White & Case where he worked in London and New York on cross-border infrastructure financings and privatizations. He holds a J.D. from Emory University and a B.B.A. from George Washington University.
