Michael Matthews, P.Eng, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2009, they worked as a Summer Student at Hay & Watson, Chartered Professional Accountants, where they assisted staff with audits, designed and prepared analytical worksheets to complete financial statements, and installed, maintained and updated software for professional staff. In 2011, they worked as an Engineering Technician at Michelin, where they recommended structural upgrades to existing conveyor belt infrastructure, developed design solutions for machine guards, and supervised daily operations to ensure maintenance and modifications were completed on schedule. Michael also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Student at Teck Resources Limited in 2011, where they implemented a new equipment asset management software, reviewed and processed new equipment requests, and compiled and updated parts manuals for mobile equipment. In 2012, they worked as a Project Engineer/Manager at Solaris MCI, where they coordinated, scheduled, reviewed, executed, facilitated and resource-for the design and procurement of facility equipment and piping, as well as complete project/mechanical engineering design deliverables. Michael also worked on overhauling company branding material, marketing tools and the website, creating new business opportunities and relationships, and educating management and staff. In 2021, they worked as a Project Manager at Ensol Systems Inc., where they lead innovative technical projects in remote primary and backup power systems for critical communication, IoT, and surveillance applications, advised and consulted on the power systems design team as the hydrogen and propane subject matter expert, and provided business development and technical sales support. Currently, they are working as a Commercial Plant Project Manager at Mango Materials since 2022.

Michael Matthews, P.Eng, P.E. has an extensive education history. Michael attended Lorne Park Secondary School from 2004 to 2008. Michael then attended Dalhousie University from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering. Michael also holds a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) obtained in November 2022, a Professional Engineer (PE) from the Washington State Department of Licensing obtained in November 2020, and a Professional Engineer (PE) from Engineers and Geoscientists BC obtained in November 2017.
