Mst Emma Coniglio

Emma Coniglio, MST, has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Emma currently serves as the 1st Grade Head Teacher at Manhattan Day School, where they create a warm and welcoming classroom environment. Prior to this, they worked as a 1st Grade Head Teacher at P.S. 209X and as a 3rd Grade Associate Teacher at P.S. 6 Lillie D. Blake School, where they collaborated with co-teachers, administered assessments, and participated in professional development. Emma also has experience as a Private Tutor at NYC Tutor Collective, providing test preparation and subject-area tutoring to students. Additionally, they have worked as a Lower School Substitute Teacher at Convent of the Sacred Heart, providing coverage and support. Outside of education, Emma has previous experience as a Nanny, caring for children of various ages, and as a Wait Staff at White Beeches Golf & Country Club. Emma also has experience in the Office of Student Engagement at Shenandoah University and as a Professional Actor at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre.

Emma Coniglio, MST completed their Master of Science in Teaching (MST) with a focus on Childhood Education at Fordham University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University between 2014 and 2018.

In addition to their degrees, Emma Coniglio has acquired several certifications. Emma obtained the New York State Teacher Certification (Grades 1-6) from the NYC Department of Education in May 2021. Emma also completed various training workshops, including the Child Abuse Identification Training Workshop, the Dignity for All Students Act Training Workshop, and the Schools Against Violence Training Workshop, all of which were conducted at Fordham University in March 2020.

Furthermore, Emma has obtained additional certifications such as the Responsive Classroom certification from The Jewish Education Project in August 2022, and the Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus certification from IMSE Orton-Gillingham in July 2022.
