Robert Verbruggen

Robert VerBruggen is a fellow at Manhattan Institute since July 2021 and a freelance writer for assorted publications since August 2006. Prior to that, Robert worked as a policy writer and deputy managing editor at National Review, managing editor at The American Conservative, RealClearPolicy Editor at RealClearPolitics, and deputy managing editor at National Review. Robert also worked as a journalism fellow at Phillips Foundation, an assistant book editor at The Washington Times, an apprentice editor at The National Interest, and intern at Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers. Robert holds a BA in Journalism and Political Science from Northwestern University.
