Balasundaram Athreya

Balasundaram Athreya (Basu) is the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure & Services Delivery at Manipal Global Education. Before joining MaGE, he was the Director of Operations and Business Development at Worldtrade FZE, Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. Prior to that, he was a Senior Business & Operations Analyst at the Sameer Group HQ, Nairobi City, Kenya. Other groups where Basu has worked in the initial part of his career include Sanmar Group, Chennai and SKF Bearings, Mumbai.

Basu has diverse skills and achievements with 30+ years of diverse experience across 3 countries. He has a proven record in Business Delivery operations, Commercial, Projects, Trading, Process & Systems Development and People Skills.

His core functional experience areas include Infrastructure & Service Delivery Operations Management, Process and Systems development for large scale delivery operations, Special Projects (concept, evaluation, commissioning, planning and execution), Leadership, People/Team Development, Strategic Planning support, Financial Analysis and Modelling, Specific business & BPR studies.

Basu is a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) graduate from Bangalore University. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Cost and Works Accountant (CWA).
