Andrew Calista

Andrew Calista has extensive work experience in various management and human resources roles. Andrew began their career in 1993 as a Disability Case Manager at Manulife Financial and later worked as a Litigation Consultant at Great-West Life. In 2001, they joined the Government of Canada as a Senior Labour Relations Consultant until 2008. Calista then transitioned to Manitoba Hydro, where they held positions such as Senior HR Business Partner/Labour Relations, Manager of Employee Relations, and Manager of Human Resource Services. In 2017, they joined Manitoba Hydro International, initially serving as the Director of Human Resources, Communications, and Logistics, and later becoming the Managing Director of Operations in 2022.

Andrew Calista has a diverse education history. Andrew first pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Psychology from the University of Manitoba from 1987 to 1991. Afterward, they obtained a degree in Human Resource Management, specializing in Human Resources Management and Services, from the same university between 2001 and 2003. In 2005 and 2006, Andrew attended IPMA Canada, where they earned the IPMA-CP Designation from the International Personnel Management Association of Canada. Later on, they enrolled in the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business - Executive Programs, completing the Advanced Program in Management, Leadership, and Strategy from 2011 to 2012.
