Yousef Pipelzadeh

Yousef Pipelzadeh, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and countries. Yousef'smost recent position was as the Director of European Operations at Manitoba Hydro International, where they oversaw the development and application of power system simulation software. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, conducting research projects funded by the EPSRC. Yousef also served as the Principle Investigator at Imperial Consultants (ICON), leading consultancy projects related to HVDC control systems and power oscillation damping. In addition, they have worked as a visiting researcher at the State Grid Corporation of China and as a Power Systems Engineer at National Grid Transco. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Product Development Engineer at Magor Communications Corporation and participated in an entrepreneurship program at Wesley Clover Corporation. Yousef started their career as an Electronics Engineer intern at Cellnovo Ltd, where they worked on medical device electronics.

Yousef Pipelzadeh, Ph.D, pursued their education in a chronological manner. Yousef began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Swansea University between 2003 and 2007. Building upon their undergraduate education, Yousef then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Power Systems at Imperial College London from 2008 to 2012.
