John Lemire

John Lemire has extensive work experience in human resources and management roles. John currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at the Manitoba Metis Federation since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at PULFORD Community Living Services Inc. from August 2018 to August 2021.

Before that, John worked as the Human Resources Manager for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario at Acklands-Grainger from September 2015 to 2018. John also worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Red River College on a contract basis from April 2015 to July 2015.

From May 2012 to November 2014, John worked as the Human Resources Manager at APTN - Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. John also served as the Human Resources Manager (contract) for Dawn Food Products from May 2011 to May 2012.

Furthermore, John has held managerial positions at Magellan Aerospace as the Manager of HR Services from 2010 to 2011, and at Walmart Canada as the Associate/Labour Relations Manager for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario from September 2008 to May 2010.

Prior to that, they gained valuable experience at Boeing Canada, where they held various roles, including Employee Relations Specialist, Training & Development Specialist, and Operations, from 1989 to 2008.

John Lemire has a diverse education history. From 1998 to 1999, they attended Red River College Polytechnic and obtained a Certificate in Criminology. Following this, in the year 2000 until 2001, they attended the University of Manitoba and earned a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching. Continuing their educational pursuits, John attended Queen's University from 2007 to 2008, studying Industrial Relations with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services, and later, from 2007 to 2009, obtained a Certificate in Industrial Relations and Organizational Development at the same university.
